Domaine de Graux

Located in Tournai, the Domaine de Graux covers 120 hectares of mixed crops, market gardening, orchards and animal husbandry. It respects agro-ecological principles that promote harmonious interactions between its environment and human beings.

Historians trace the existence of "La Seigneurie de Graux" back to 1492! In 1873, the Simon family settled in Graux and left their mark on its history. It was they who commissioned the architect Alphone Dufour to carry out the extensive work that has given the property its present-day character since the early 1900s.

Fifth generation Elisabeth Simon took over the reins of Domaine de Graux in the early 2000s, and converted the entire estate to conservation organic farming (no-till), as part of an agro-ecological dynamic. At the end of 2021, Elisabeth handed over the estate to the Nest Family Office, which intends to continue the business on the same fundamental principles.

Graux's ambition remains to prove that large-scale agroecology is beneficial for farmers and the environment. This vision offers hope for all, and is a response to current challenges linked to the degradation of biodiversity, climate issues and lifestyles in general. With this in mind, several educational activities are being organized at Graux to raise awareness of agroecology.

Graux is also a venue for private and professional events, with a focus on sustainability. The managers ensure compliance with all sustainability criteria, in line with the estate's values (respect, sharing and optimism). In this respect, the food and beverages offered are organic, local and/or fair-trade.
